what pages may I advertise?
You may advertise graphically on any page except
the default home page or site managerial pages. There is a
site map here.
The webmaster will offer page recommendations for your URL
when you inquire
about advertising. Generally
the best page choice for graphical advertising is the page
on which you have a text link. Another good choice would be
an index page one or two levels up from the page on which
your text link resides.
What
sizes of ads are allowed?
There
are five sizes of ad blocks.
Here are their names and locations: LEADERBOARD (single ad
centered at the top of the page), SKYSCRAPER (single ad down
the right margin of the page), HEADER (series of square ads
above the links), RIGHT SIDEBAR (series of square and long
rectangular ads to the right the links), and BANNER (series
of rectangular ads found under the links).
The LEADERBOARD and SKYSCRAPER ad blocks are available only
in the childcare providers,
homeschoolers, Montessorians,
and teachers indexes.
We plan on incorporating these ads blocks into the parents
section soon.

How
much does a graphical ad cost?
The cost of a graphical ad varies with
the size of the ad and the length of time that the ad
is run.
All
textual and graphical advertising purchased directly
through the siteowner/webmaster
of Early Childhood Links is on a flat rate sponsorship.
Flat rate sponsorship means that you buy a specific
ad space for a specific time. Your ad is NOT placed
in a viewing rotation with other ads that may appear
in the ad space versus yours. Instead, the spot that
you purchase is permanently yours on the page for the
length of the ad run. All five sizes of ad blocks are
available for flat rate sponsorship with the time
options of one, three, six, or twelve months.
You
may also purchase graphical advertising on a CPC
(cost-per click), CPM (cost-per-impression) or
flat rate sponsorship (daily, weekly, or monthly)
basis for the LEADERBOARD and SKYSCRAPER ad blocks ONLY
via the Hotchalk Educational Ad Network here.
Do
you offer any discounts?
Discount rates are offered for 3, 6,
and 12 month runs, at a rate of 25% to 50% off, so you
can advertise for as little as $1.25 per ad per month.

We
accept ads with a file extension of gif, jpg, or png. Files
must be made in a graphic editor (not Picture Viewer or word
processor). Please include your ad as a file attachment with
your request for advertising so the webmaster can verify that
your ad is of the correct size and type. |

the webmaster has approved your site as a potential text link.

How
much does a text LINK cost?
There are two components to the text link - the company/site
name that links to your site URL, and the descriptive
text/sales pitch that follows.
Company/Site
Name - you have up to 250 characters of sales pitch here.
Here

However there are two circumstances in which you must pay
for a link. A paid text link rate includes both the company/site

2) closed pages - text links on pages that are now closed
to free text links due to a wealth of affiliate links for
that topic.

PAYMENT
How
do I pay for the ad/link?
You
may pay for your ad online securely via PayPal by eCheck,
American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or VISA. Or if you
prefer, you can pay by snail mail using certified check, money
order, business check, or personal check. If paying online,
your ad is placed as soon as PayPal clears your payment (1-24
hours). If paying by business or personal check, your ad will
not be placed until your check clears our bank.
When
do I pay for the ad/link?
The
webmaster will send you a funds request from Paypal or snail
mail info after all the details of your advertising run have
been clarified.
